Thanks Bruce. I should have made it clear that I haven't had the usual
'rollover gaps'. 

I always like to keep the 'old' contract on my screen for a couple of days
until things settle down. I'm used to seeing some gaps on rollover days but
not with the frequency and durations that I did today.

And as for the VIX. I think it went on vacation.
