Suppose that you and 5 other people got together and decided to buy Win98
and "share" the cost amongst yourselves.
This would be violating the license agreement you agreed to when you
purchased the software (FOR 1 USER).

Its the same concept with data.

Otherwise, why would a vendor have all this work in collecting data over
the years, sell 1 set for $500 to you, and then you turn around and sell
1000 sets of the same data for $100 each?

If this were legitimately possible, it would destroy the data sales
business and then you would have no reliable data for sale.

Its simple economics and copyright law.
