Well, I've returned my WOW Daytrader within the 30 day trial period.
It definitely has potential, but for my purposes of DayTrading, it
was lacking. I was particularly disappointed in three aspects:
1. The speed of loading charts is noticeably slower than with TS 4.0
2. Their version of a scanner doesn't work LIVE intraday. I was
hoping to be able to automatically scan every minute selected
universes of stocks for new conditions, but this ability wasn't
there.
3. With a BMI news feed, you can't filter on a stock symbol directly.
You must set up that symbol as a keyword.
The things I like are being able to have custom groups using intraday
data. Something that is definitely lacking in TS 4.0.
It may be suitable if you don't already have TS, but for me it wasn't
worth the switch.
Once I discovered the 2 deficiencies noted above, I pretty much
stopped trying out other features as these were of main importance to
me and without them, the package wasn't going to be what I needed, no
matter what else it had.
I am going to continue to use TS for my backtesting as I feel that it
does a good job (If it just didn't have the 13,000 tick limit and DID
have custom data lists on server data, it would be MUCH more useful).
For my real-time trading, I will be using another package that better
suits my needs.
I know you didn't receive a slew of commentary, but hopefully it was
helpful to some people.
