Dear Charles,
Everyone has their own experiences.After trading and investing in the stock market for 30 years and now trading in commodities I have found:
1.Nasdaq of today is no better or worse re. fills than the Big Board or AMEX.Fills are a function of stock liquidity,volume,good or bad news etc.Market makers are the same regardless-they want to make money.
2.Years ago and today with the OTC Bulletin Board market makers were and are known to pull bids and not answer the phone.Since Nasdaq is computerized now, they can play with prices but they at least trade.
3.I apologize if this experience does not match yours and hope I do not reap the wrath of OMega--Meant in good spirit.

I wrote something to the effect of "this is the way much NASDAQ takes
place." Really, it's the way many NASDAQ orders don't get executed.
