What wonderfully poetic, erudite and, above all, original writing. It's
such a shame you didn't post it to the list rather than just to Ruth
because you denied us all a look at your undoubtedly unique talent to
abuse - a talent that you really shouldn't be so shy about showing off.
The paper bag reference was such a clever and original touch. It reminds
me of when I was a little school kid when we used to taunt each other
with things like "Big Head" and "Fatso". Obviously no where near as
clever as you but then we were only five. You must tell me which charm
school you attended so that I can enrol right away.

Ironic that 'savant' means a learned man (from the french verb 'savoir' -
