Something very strange is going on with my TradeStation.
I've been out of town a lot lately, and my BMI feed has been very flaky,
so I've got a bunch of holes in my data. But when I tried to review
back through the data I have, I discovered that different bar lengths
showed totally different gaps!
Example: On SP8H, 10-min bars show gaps on Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23, 25 a.m.
until 1:40 EST, and 27 until 3:20 EST. (This is a delayed feed.)
5-min bars show the same gaps.
But if I switch to any bar size that is NOT a multiple of 5 (e.g. 4min,
12min, etc), I show NO data from 10:48 on 1/29 through 3:20 on 2/27!!
This is particularly distressing because I need a 1-min chart for my
trading!
What could be causing this!???
FWIW, I never noticed this until after I tried the recent suggestions
to turn off the "Show empty trading periods" checkboxes in the
Tools -> Options -> Price Data dialog box. It may have been there
before, but I don't think so -- in any case I didn't see it. But
I wouldn't think clearing those checkboxes would cause this behavior!
At this point I've re-checked those boxes so the empty gaps *are* displayed.
