I have finally settled for a Siemens Masterguard 1250 KVA. I am very
happy so far. I run three machines/monitors, a receiver, a modem
and an ISDN telephone system from it. The UPS tells me that this is a
50% load. With this load I get 15 minutes on the UPS.
It must be noted that the bridge time decreases "exponentially"
with the increased load. When I switch off two monitors the load goes
down to 25% .
The Masterguard has got a surge protector and produces a proper wave
shape. The only negative point I can mention about the Masterguard
is that they only give you 2 cables although the UPS has
got 4 connectors at the back.
