Buy one with sufficient power to support your systems while running
including the monitor(s). Also, buy one with the serial connection to
shut your system down cleanly in the event of an outage when the system
is unattended (SmartUPS).
One additional note, if you have an old UPS which is failing to keep
charge the batteries are easily replaced (dry lead acid types from a
battery specialty store) and you can usually find a replacement
containing more energy in the same or smaller size.
