Thank you, Bob, for posting the examples with same function coded as both simple
and series. So simple variables are persistant in all functions, simple or
series. Array variables are not persistant in simple functions. Are array
variables in series functions persistant, or is it necessary to return the array
in the function return value in order to retain the array?
