Here's a simple way:
1. Press Alt-PrintScreen to capture the screen.
2. Go to your "Start-Programs-Accessories-Paint" and paste it in.
3. Save the file.

For other formats you can get PaintShop Pro (Shareware) and save it in
format you choose. Their web site it:
