Omega released 'beta' copies of TS 5.0 at the developer's conference this
week in Miami. The product has undergone very many substantial improvements,
including a complete 'ground-up re-write' of the software. Changes that
address many of the problems discussed on this list have been incorporated.
The evidence seems to be that Bill and Ralph Cruz and their staff ARE
listening very carefully to the feedback from customers, including the
volumes of diatribe from this list.
As an example, TS 5.0 will be able to automatically receive all symbols
being transmitted by the data vendor so many of the issues around the symbol
universe will likely be resolved.
The latest OptionStation(R) is now apparently a 'very solid product' with
extraordinary realtime options analytics capabilities. It's reported to be a
HOT seller right now.
Omega Research now has +-170 people on staff.
