I don't know that it's a matter of more or less difficult to master day
trading vs position trading but rather a matter of using a trading
methodology which is complementry to one's psyche. Certainly there are more
trading opportunities in day trading so there are more potential points to
be grabbed, however someone not psychologically suited to day trading will
never see those profits. I day traded for 6 months in late 80's and learned
that the stress and confines of sitting in front of a monitor on daily basis
was not for me. I've found that the rewards of putting on my positions
(complete with stops) and going out to play golf are far greater than the
diminished profit opportunities.
