Frank,
TICK represents the net number of stocks whose LATEST price change was
up or down, while ADV & DEC count changes from the previous day's close.
There is also TICKI, which is the same as TICK, but just for the 30
stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
Both TICK and TICKI respond much faster to changes in market sentiment
then the ADV - DEC line.
