January's guest speaker is Ted Tesser, a certified public accountant, who specializes in taxation issues for investors and traders.  He is the author of The Serious Investor's Tax Survival Guide and The Trader's Tax Survival Guide.  Mr. Tesser will discuss how to create and manage a profitable trading business as well as how to qualify for trader status based on requirements handed down by the tax courts.  
As an added bonus to this special meeting, Mr. Tesser will be available on Thursday & Friday, Jan. 22nd & 23rd, to review individual tax returns and provide tax counseling for MASC members at no charge. 


1998 MEMBERSHIP DUES ARE NOW DUE.....    _________________________________________________ MASC is a group of individuals who share a common interest in the financial markets and technical analysis.  MASC normally meets the second Wednesday of each month to discuss and exchange ideas.  A guest speaker is invited to present views and techniques for members' use.  For this meeting, the charge is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.  In addition, a $25 annual (January-December) membership fee is in effect.  All persons with a serious interest in the financial markets and technical analysis are invited to attend.
