It is the Tale of two TS4.0’s :
1 - The First is a TS4.0 build16 running on Win95;
The Second is another TS4.0 build16 upgraded to 18 and then 20, using
the Omega downloads. It also runs on Win95. They have nothing in common,
except they were bought at about the same time. They were installed
separately on separate PCs in separate locations.
2 - On the First I plot an SP chart, 50 days, 60min bars. Same on the
second.
3 - On the First I hit <View / Data Window / Send to File / SP60 / OK>.
Same on the second.
4 - On the First I have a c :\omega\ts\paste\ directory listing set up
in my « insert data window ». Same on the second.
5 - On the First I go to the explorer, and move my sp60 text file from c
:\omega\prog to c :\omega\ts\paste. Same on the second.
6 - On the First I hit the « create a new chart window » icon, chose «
directory » in the « insert price data window » and scroll to c
:\omega\ts\paste. Same on the second.
7 - On the First I see my sp60 file showing up, select it, select «
first line of data file » and so on, and get the chart on the screen.
But on the Second, no sp60 file shows up, the box remains empty, with no
files to select. That is annoying as I can’t plot any ASCII data...
What gives ?
