For starters, how about setting aside a minute or so to
complete the following exercise?

1) Create a fictitious security in the SYMBOL UNIVERSE =or=
use an use an existing symbol (doesn't matter).

2) Go in to the PORTFOLIO and ADD the security (or, again,
use a symbol that's already in your portfolio).

3) Highlight the security and click on EDIT DAILY.

4) Click on ADD which will bring up the ADD DATA dialogue
box.

5) Note that the date is in the MM/DD/YY format.

6a) Enter 01/02/00 as a date, enter data for the open, high,
low, etc. and then click OK. Check the results.

6b) Enter 01/02/01 as a date, enter data for the open, high,
low, etc. and then click OK. Check the results.

7a) Post a message to this LIST emphatically stating that
the Y2K issue as it relates to TS 4.0 is bogus and you're
tired of reading posts relating thereto. Be sure to include
in your message that you're also tired of reading posts
concerning a 32-bit version of TS (I've noticed a rather
high correlation between the two). Also, keep attending
those seminars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OR

7b) Compose a message stating you want this FIXED NOW and
e-mail it to 2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Also, call, write, and
fax Omega stating likewise.

NOW, the results of 6a and 6b for disbelievers or those too
"tired" to go through the aforementioned drill.

6a: DATA DISAPPEARS =OR= DATE APPEARS AS 1900. If the data
appears under the year 1900, the month/date/year appear as
0/0/0 and you can neither edit nor delete the data.

6b: YOU CAN NOW BACKTEST DATA FROM THE YEAR 1901
