Thanks Ramesh and others who have replied. Are you using Win 7 Home or Pro edition? I am aware of VM Ware, but do not wish to purchase additional software to run 2 OS's.
I understand that Win 7 Pro has an "XP Mode" to run older programs by running XP in a virtual environment. I have also read that some CPU's do not support virtual technology such as Intel's Q8200 & Q8300 (SLB5W)core 2 quads (see http://ark.intel.com/VTList.aspx). I believe the "XP Mode" in Win 7 is probably for older 16 bit programs. Since MS 9.0 is 32 bit, I am hoping it would run fine under Win 7 without the "XP Mode" virtualization, and L.P. Carhartt's response seems to bear this out (contrary to what Equis says).
Thanks again.
