That is usually done in the Downloader. Select Tools, then Convert.

The Master, XMaster and EMaster files are simply directories used by 
MetaStock into the data files. They provide the conversion from a stock's 
name and ticker symbol to the Fxxx.DAT files. Otherwise, the internal 
details are not particularly interesting to the typical user.
