Point and Figure charting is how I first got interested in technical analysis some 30+ years ago.  In those pre-personal computer days it was easy to maintain a couple dozen PnF charts.  It is still a terrific way to look at a security without "noise" (random day-to-day movement).  Plus it makes for a good trading strategy for many securities.  Take a look at the Yen ETF - FXY with $.40 boxes and 2-box reversal chart.  Buy on any break and sell/cover on any 3-box reversal.  The FXY by the way recently flashed a buy.
