Sum(Function(X)>1,50)>0 is one way I can think of but there are sure to be other ways as well. Since MS treats any number other than zero as a logical true you could leave off the ">0" test and still get the required result.

Function(x) is greater than +1 sometime within the past 50 days.

 

Function(X) can be either a standard Metastock indicator or a label in a custom indicator.
