The ongoing difficulty in testing/trading a chart pattern is in
identifying the pattern unambiguously. I haven't seen that done -
although it isn't inherently impossible.
A prime difficulty with Bulkowski's work is he "eye-balled", rather
than define chart patterns specificly (encode it). He has
downloadable software on his site for pattern identification - a
small step in the right direction.
