Here are a few links that may help you.
The first is a basic understanding of several things. Study this site forward and back.

This site is very educational. Study his thoughts and video daily.

But until you can trade a demo account for 2-3 months with at least a 75% success don't trade your real money, is my #1 best tip.
Remember you are trading against professionals so you need to also graduate. Which takes study, discipline, and the right tools.
With Metastock you have 50% of the right tools. And once you have more than a basic knowledge you become the other 25-50%.
For example to build a house from start to finish where the new owners only turn the key, they knew alot of tools(Metastock) and experience(you) was used and would be needed. But even though you had the right tools you did not have the experience. Which bottom line your expected profit very quickly became a lot of losses even with the right tools.

Now my #2 best tip is to never stop learning and experimenting. A carpenter with 20 years experience can still learn new things or use new tools.
I bet you have tried using several great tools but you did so without reading/studing the instructions. Well we all can learn from our and others mistakes. Even those that joked about your question had to learn and were once in simular shoes, maybe. And with that humor at your expense was some good advice. And within this group from all the members, messages, files, etc. it will help you, like you and I hope it will.

As a trader/investor you will need to find your own combo of tools that help you achieve your style of trading and risk/reward ratio. Such as fundamentals, moving averages, bollenger bands, macd, stoch, rsi, adx, volume, candlesticks, chart patterns, trendlines, option strike prices and dates, fib, lightning strikes, etc. Also if you are going to be an intraday, trend, short(1-5days) medium(1-12weeks) long(1or more years)term, or even all of them. Plus what you trade is very important. I hope this helps you in your journey to become successful.

Best Wishes,
Burt Whitley

thank you for you respond i now that not all people will give me there
recipe for success. But i just wanted to ask anyways hoping someone
would be nice enough to tell me. It gets hard to play the stock market
when you keep losing because it becomes less motivating to put your
money in the stock market. however if i knew some great tool indicators
it might make me a better investor. I know that many investor where at
the same position that i am in right now learning a new program and
implementing that information into the stock. I am very new to the
stock market and the equis metastock program help is appreciated.
