Hi Lionel -
I think I'm getting everything in the chart using the defaults. I
tried to get rid of the cloud part (just have it's upper and lower
boundaries) and couldn't. The cloud has two colors in the MS version.
Right click on the indicator and look at properties. Make sure there
are 8 plots. You may want to try changing the background color to
something dark and see if that brings the lines up.
Once site provides these English substitutes. I'm not sure they're
uch mre intuitive than the Japanese.
Tenkan-Sen, or conversion line (red) - (Highest high + lowest low) /
2, calculated over the past seven to eight time periods.
Kijun-Sen, or base line- (Highest high + lowest low) / 2, calculated
over the past 22 time periods.
Chikou Span, or lagging span The most current closing price plotted
22 time periods behind (optional).
Senkou Span A (Tenkan-Sen + Kijun-Sen) / 2, plotted 26 time periods
ahead.
Senkou Span B (Highest high + lowest low) / 2, calculated over the
past 44 time periods. Plot 22 periods ahead.
The rules are well enough defined that a histogram could be made that
identifies strong, normal, and weak buys and sells.
Unless you want to see the details that looks like an easy way to go.
To be self consistant, I suppose one should use candle sticks...
