Rightclick your Metastock-Icon on your desktop.
scrolldown to ,I think preferences. (I use the dutch version so I don't know the exact frase?)
And change the compability to an older version of Windows?

I am using MetaStock Professional Version 7.0. I stopped using it several years ago because
of work-time demands.
Now I have started using it again and am frequently getting a dialogue box labeled "mswin"
that says"mswin has encountered a problem and needs to close. Send error report Don't
send".I then have to reload MetaStock.
I never got that prblem when I used the program before. Now I am getting it several times
each day, always when I am trying to change data folders.
I am experiencing the same problem on both my destop and notebook computers, which are
running on XP. Ironically, both machines are much more fully configured with RAM, disk
storage and processor speed that my earlier computer. Admittedly I have many more
securities in more folders now than before, but I don't think it is outrageous.
Anybody experience this or have any diagnosis or suggestions? Thanks for the help.....John
