Hi Rob,

The installation of Metastock in a vitual WinXP operating system actually
goes OK . However, when I try to launch Metastock I receive a message that
states the following: "This Product Will Not Work in a VMWare Environment."

I don't think it's a metastock error message. I think it might be a VMWare
error message. Thanks for the feedback!

Michael

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Re: Metastock and VMWare

Hi,

I've been using VMWare for a variety of software setups for many
years
on both Linux and Windows hosts. I've also run Metastock 8 and 9
under Wine, which allows Windows programs to run natively in Linux
by
using a compatibility layer.

If you're able to provide a few more details such as whether the
install went smoothly to completion, any error messages that
occurred,
whether the software failed to run at all or worked but had errors
etc
then I might be able to offer some more help.

Generally speaking VMWare is pretty transparent to most software
unless you're doing something very low level such as a debugging C++
code in Dev Studio or using something not fully supported such as
Firewire or webcams.

best regards
Rob
