[EquisMetaStock Group] RSC Data in Excel and back to MS

Well, there are a number of ways you can manipulate the data.

If you do the initial screening in the explorer, you can sort by the
column of your choice, highlight the list, and copy it. Then you can
paste it into excel as text.

Once it is in Excel, you can do all kinds of things with it. You can
reformat excel to match the MS requirements, delete all the stocks
that don't match your criteria, and then using the downloader, you can
import the sorted excel file back into MS. Once the files are back
into MS, you can download the history and then you have a folder with
just the highly ranked momentum stocks you are interested in. You can
apply your trading rules to the new subset to find the ones you want
to trade.

You can recreate the momentum list every day, every week or every month.

You can create historical test files for previous time frames to see
how the trading rules worked for the stocks it signaled a buy on
during the time frame you selected. You can select a handful of random
time frames to use for testing.

This is not perfect testing, but it will give you a very good idea of
how your momentum system may work.

Ideally, the lists would be created, sorted and tested in MS or in
TradeSim. But so far that ability doesn't exist.

I'm not trying to give you specific instructions on how to do the one
procedure you have in mind. I'm giving you the possibilities. You can
use the help screens to walk you through whichever process works best
for what you want to achieve.
