[EquisMetaStock Group] Re: Relative Strength Comparison Analysis

To pass data out of MS to Excel, open the downloader and use the
convert function under the tool tab.

You can convert from MS to Excel and from Excel to MS.

Read the help screens under the downloader help section to understand
the date and column headings required to import or export data. It's
very simple. I just imported 12 years worth of data from the from the
CBOE website by downloading it to excel, reformatting the excel files
to the MS spec and then importing the excel files into MS. It took
about 10 minutes.

SpyGlass is the only alternative for external relative strength that
I've ever come across. For the relative strength comparatives, like I
said the weighted ROC formula that I posted awhile back produces
almost the same ranking as do other dedicated RSC programs. That
formula is really cheap.

What is not cheap is turning the weighted ROC into testable
information, or into a consistent expert system. I guess it all comes
down to how much your time is worth.

Have fun with excel!

Super
