Colin,

The indicator you posted gave a single event. It gives the ROC 
between the two dates selected. So if there are 300 bars from your X 
to Y then you get a 300 bar ROC. This would be useful if you are 
comparing a group of stocks to one another.

The indicator that I gave you will provide you with the ROC 
beginning on a selected date and adds a bar or date each time there 
is a new close added to the data.
