There are several problems that cause this kind of error. Since I
don't have your computer in front of me it's hard to diagnose the
problem with very, very limited information.
Here are a few things you can check.
Upgrade to 9.1. 9.0 has a lot of bugs in it.
Check for hyperthreading. Hyperthreading is often dangerous to MS.
Make sure your graphics card isn't using acceleration. If it is
disable it.
If your RAM isn't large enough, then windows has to do a lot of
virtual memory swapping to the hard drive. That is often an issue.
System testing is very disc intensive.
You can have fml calls that have problems in them, especially if
they're security fml calls.
There are things in the registry that can cause problems. Start MS
while holding down the shift ctrl keys. That only removes the default
values in MS. Other registry problems include the file allocation in
networking software, etc. I can't remember all of them off the top of
my head, but usually MS technical support knows about them. They don't
often tell MS users because they don't want to be responsible for
users screwing up the registry. I've made several changes to my
registry entries that helps MS.
If I can find the article I wrote about these kinds of conflicts, I'll
post it but I don't know where I put it right now. Try the things I
just mentioned, and if none of them work---call tech support. They're
really friendly, always there and pretty good sometimes.
MS win crashes almost always result from one of three things. Upper
memory conflicts, data feeds, and failed calculations in indicators,
formulas, experts and other MS stuff.
Good luck finding it. MSwin is temperamental.
