This is   good advice. This time around too many software houses were  very
negligent about updating their software in advance of release, and Microsoft
is negligent about making Vista backwards compatible.

Works fine here on Vista Premium 64 bit edition - however, I recommend you
use the 32 bit edition unless you've got really memory hungry 64 bit apps
and 4GB+RAM (note: even Microsoft Office is a 32 bit app). Throw heaps of
RAM at it - I recommend 2GB. Speed-wise it's similar to Windows XP but
feels a bit more responsive due to the changed memory management and
pre-caching that occurs in Vista.

Also, only MetaStock 10.1 is fully compatible and there's no sign that Equis
is going to fix older versions of MetaStock.

Also, verify all of your regularly used applications are Vista compatible.
Many are not compatible.
