I suspect that the problem is not with TradeSim but with the number of bars included in your Exploration for TradeSim. ValueWhen() and BarsSince() functions (and a few others) cannot perform fully as intended unless provided with sufficient data. Many functions force the Explorer to load sufficient data to generate an accurate result. Sadly that is not the case with ValueWhen(), BarsSince() and Alert() etc - these functions do not force a useful or appropriate look-back range so it's up to the user to set the "load records" number to what is needed.

In Metastock there is a function called "barssince" that will allow one 
to set an age restriction. I however am having problems using that 
particular function in the explorer when I mix and mingle it with 
TradeSim functions. 

Does anyone know of a function in TradeSim that is very similar 
to "barssince" in Metastock?
