Good afternoon,
I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have MS Pro
9.1. I use eSignal's data feed and use it to trade intraday. I'm
about at wit's end with performance problems. I have a juiced up AMD
single core system and for what I'm doing MS is a total pig. So much
so, if I didn't have so much time and energy invested, I'd dump it.
Has anyone tested a Duo Core Intel or Dual Core AMD system with MS?
My problem is that I am CPU bound. I'm not sure if two cores
operating at slower speeds does anything for me. I used to be a
system architect and for some applications it didn't matter if you had
1 or 10 CPUs if the application wasn't written in such a way to take
advantage if it. I suspect this is a problem with MS but would like
some feedback based on FACTS not guesswork. Thanks in advance!!
