About 30 years ago Dysart the creator of this indicator determined that NVI
was no longer reliable and discontinued its use. Before you use it for
trading try to determine if it is again reliable.

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Explorations Needed for NVI and PVI
I would appreciate any assistance in creating an exploration which would
identify the Negative Volume Indicator crossing above (and below) its
255-day exponential moving average. A similar exploration is also needed for
the Positive Volume Indicator.
