Since I didn't keep the emails on this thread, I can't refer back to them.
I recall that Jose sort of described it as a joke. The text file and many of
his postings say don't trade this system. Doesn't the alleged author's last
name sound like Sillystock, and she lives in an isolated area with no
telephone service, no electricity, and hence no working computer. How can
she develop a trading system, test it and get it quickly to Jose who lives
in Australia?
The graphs that Jose posted show what appears to be a moving average band
system. There are a number of these around and several have been posted at
Metastock sites.
There is an old saying about trading systems that says: simple systems are
easier to understand and work better than complicated systems. Look at the
record of Warren Buffett or the late Nicolas Darvas. They both used
relatively uncomplicated systems and both of them are/were very strongly
self-disciplined.
You can modify the built in Metastock trading systems and explorations to
work more suitably for you.
Jose is so knowledgeable that even when he is joking he does things right,
there is no trick. Take a look at his other postings.
I agree with you many trading systems, regardless of pedigree and price are
not very good, and most people seem to be disappointed with Metastock's
plugins.

I backtested Ramona Band Strategy with the Enhanced System Tester and the
results are incredible. This system beats all the built-in systems in
metastock, all the Trade Oracle Systems and many more from different add-ons
or plugins like Power Pivot or Performance System Plus.
Is there a trick somewhere ? Please share your knowledge with us !
I know that this Koh-Pha-Ngan thing sounds like a bit too much, but the
system works very well and that's all that's important to me.
I don't think there's a trick anywhere ! This system will bring me pizzas
because it can make me earn money.
But if there's some kind of trick with the RBS Strategy please tell us. It
might be using this zig-zag function that cheats.
Have anyone here tested it ?
