Hello Wallace,
The excel option is the simplest way. Import the ASCII
data into Excel. While importing, select the column as
a date, using the DMY drop down option.
Then select the column, which has the dates, change
its properties, by Using Format\Cells\. Under the
Numbers Tab, select custom, and in the Type window,
input yyyymmdd.
Your job should be done.
