Richard, I tried the plugin; it has its uses. But I would still like the
ability to display a properly-formatted date, whenever needed. Perhaps you
can create a version 1.1 of the plugin that offers this functionality? That
way, one won't have to deal with dropped leading zeros or needless decimals
(the default Metastock method). And the user can specify what display format
they would like (YYYYMMDD, MMDDYYYY or DDMMYYYY). Just my 2 cents...

Rather than plotting the date, why not plot the number of days old the data
is. You can even filter on it too!
