Pablo,
After you figure out what went wrong why don't you pick yourself up a copy
of Norton Ghost. Ghost an image of your harddrive to an external drive.
Simply reinstall from the working image if you ever lose confidence in your
application. I've been doing this for years and I never waste time trying
to figure our "what went wrong" with an application.
