Eduardo,
I'm agree with you about some times (almost all for me)
it's hard to express something in english.
It's deficult to understand all the people post (for me, of course)
I've understood Roy was trying to sell his newsleeter sending
recommendations signed by others.
For me it was a kind of SPAM.
If I was wrong then I appologise to Roy.
If it's not, also I appologise to Roy because nobody push me to be a
EequisMetaStock member.
I know It's very common I need to say "sorry".
Sorry one more time (!)
Paolo
EGP> Hi everyone,
EGP> Sorry to butt in, Paolo, but I think that you have made some mistakes.
EGP> I have noticed that you struggle somewhat with the English language; nothing wrong with that if it isn’t your first language – in my case, for example, it is my third!
EGP> I learned to speak the English language in England, of all places, but for me it was somewhat easier because I spent three years working as a waiter in Lanzarote with foreigners, and because I
EGP> also speak French fluently, a language which has strong influence on the English language, probably due to the Norman invasion at the beginning of the last millennium.
EGP> One thing I noticed is the idiom (the way we say things) is totally different in English to, say, in Spanish or Italian ; this means that if you try to say something in English the way you
EGP> would say it in Spanish or Italian, people will get confused at best, or totally misunderstand what you are trying to say, and even get offended by it!
EGP> Try to find ways of making sure that what you say is what you mean if you want to avoid the above. Please, Paolo, I’m telling you this from my own experience! Try to avoid my mistakes.
EGP> I’ll give you an example: “I also understand Roy needs to sell his developments.” Er…, no, Roy’s developments are free of charge in his website, all you have to do is download them.
EGP> This statement has probably surprised a few people, of which I am one of them, because the only thing Roy sells is his newsletter, and it is subscribers like myself who recommend it – Roy
EGP> himself has never marketed it in this pages, that I know of.
EGP> There is no shame being wrong, Paolo, it happens to me all the time, but I always try to get it right next time.
