Hi Shar
Set the compatibility mode of both MetaStock and the Downloader to Windows 2000. Right click on the shortcut icon on desktop or Start menu, select properties, open the Compatibility tab, and select Windows 2000. You could also browse with Explorer and do this directly to the relevant EXE file.

I use Metastock 7.2 EOD on a Dell with XP with DSL. I use it to
convert ASCii text files to Metastock. I can no longer use the "Open"
to open existing files. When I click on Open to get an existing file
Downloader closes. Any ideas?
