Pierre and others,
After trying several times and different approaches to find out what the
problem was...
I found out that, in my case, the file mdac_typ.exe was corrupted at the CD!
Thus, what I did was copying all files to the HD and downloading a new
mdac_typ.exe from Microsoft's web site.
It gave some error messages during the installation but it finally
installled right!
Also, what since I had tried to install MS9, a guy from another group
suggested me to find the file EqNotify.dll at the \WINDOWS folder and
erase it.
Anyway, thanks everybody for the help given.
