[EquisMetaStock Group] referencing a fml() for a previous date

Hi there,

I'm a newbie to Metastock and I'm trying to reference a formula for 
the previous day.

In following the ref() syntax of ref(CLOSE,-1), I tried;

fml("ShortStop",-1)

But obviously it doesn't work. Is this possible?
