Harry, try closing MetaStock and delete all your SmartCharts:
Start -> Find -> Files or Folders -> Look in C: -> Search for
"MSSmart" -> Highlight all folders found -> delete.
Reboot Win98, and open MetaStock with any chart. Check your default
template for any unusual settings.
