This is how I have created the chart:
1. Copy & paste data into spreadsheet.
In Exel go to Data-Text to Column.
In the Wizard click on “Fixed Width” and on to “Next”.
Click under “20” and on to “Next”.
On the first column “Date” click on “Date” on the “Column data format” and set it up to “MDY” and click on “Finish”.
Highlight the “Value” column and set it up on 2 decimals by clicking on the “Increase/Decrease” decimal arrows.
There are lots of gaps missing in the data; to get rid of them, create a new column on the left of the “Date” column, type on cells A2, A3 and A4 the numbers 1-2-3,
highligth them, then drag the dot on the bottom right (the pointer should become a cross) all the way to the final cell on which the data end (which should be on the 03-21-06).
8. Go back to the beginning of the page, highlight the whole thing, all the way to
the bottom, go to Data-Sort and choose the “Value” column; click on “OK”.
Delete the gaps and repeat step 8., but this time choose the column “A”, then
delete it.
You should now have the “Date” and “Value” columns; highlight the data in the
“Value” column and copy it in the columns C, D and E; this is so that the Downloader “High”, “Low” and “Close” columns are filled when you copy the data into it; otherwise you’ll only get a flat line on your chart .
11. Now highlight the whole thing, create a new security in the Downloader and copy
it into it.
