I am trying to use the above to get delayed data throughout the day.
I can get the delayed data but I can't get the data from the previous
day with this system. I need this so that I can overwrite the last
intradday price I got the previous day with the correct end-of -day
data. I
realise I could update my data after the end-of-day but before the
next day, but this would mean leaving my computer on all the time,
even when I am on holiday. The "Help" section in Smart Downloader
tells me that "most world symbols' data
(London?)can't be downloaded historically:"Symbol Lookup.....Note,
that most world symbols don't have historical data at Yahoo, only
current quotes may be downloaded."
However, when I go to the yahoo finance site I can download
historical data into an Excel spreadsheet.
Anybody help me or offer another way of doing what I want with a
different data provider (I don't want realtime, only delayed)?
