Perhaps Mansoor's MetaStock data utility at http://www.geocities.com/
mimansoor may be of help here, but generally, once you lose your data
master files everything is practically gone (specially symbols &
security names).
Anyway, it pays to regularly save all MetaStock data - the Computrac-
format Master data files are one of MetaStock's Achilles' heel.
