If two indicators are mathematically similar and use the same data, they
will give similar signals. You want to use signals that will have a
different basis. Tushar Chande discussed this in his first book

Hi
I am new to metastock and was hoping someone could help me with
indicators.
If i get a new signal from a indicator is it possible to say only
generate a signal if the current indicator and another indicator have
the same bias, eg long,
ie ... current indicator = new signal long, and the last signal on the
other indicator was also long (this may have been several days ago)
