I just did a reinstall of my Metastock v9.0 Professional due to upgrading to
a new PC (dual core is very nice!) and I had already installed Microsoft
..NET Framework v1.1 and Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 via Windows Update.
When Metastock v9.0 was installed, it briefly checked to see whether the
..NET framework was installed then moved on. It took less than a second to
do this, whereas a .NET install is usually a few minutes. Therefore it
didn't appear to overwrite it as far as I can tell.
I suggest using something like Norton/Symantec Ghost if you're ever unsure
whether a program install might cause bad things to happen on your PC.
Best regards,
Richard Dale.
