Make sure you use the Metastock File Library rather than the built-in
"CompuTrac/Metastock" Format when you define your data paths in Advanced
GET.
The Computrac/Metastock only supports 255 securities in a folder. MSFL
6.51/7 supports 2000 securities in a folder.
This is probably the reason you're only seeing the first half of the
securities in your folders.

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] MS 7.21 data problem with Adv GET & Opening
unlimited files with MS 7.21
Hi friends,
Got to try an advanceGET program to try out recently
but when attempting to read folders with MS data files,
the files displayed in the AdvGET program is incomplete with
few years data missing but the same data is fine with MS 7.21.
Has anyone had similar problems before?
I used to open many files at one go using MS7.2 to visually view
price charts.My data is divided into four folders, so I would open
the data from each folder and view them at my own free time.
But now if I try opening the data, The charts stop loading somewhere
in the middle of the folder. Eg. If my stock names start from A -Z,
the program stop opening new files somewhere in E or F area. I used
to do this with a less powerful machine but I dont know why It
doesn't work with my new machine, more powerful machine now.
Please help.
