If you start MetaStock from a shortcut on your desktop, Right click on the shortcut icon and select "Properties". Then click on the "Compatibility" tab, check the tick box for "Run the program in compatibility mode for", and select "Windows 2000" from the drop-down menu. Click "OK" and you're done.

 

The same procedure can be used for any program listed in the Start menu, so click on "Start" at the bottom-left of your computer screen and follow the procedure above.

 

You can also use Windows Explorer to locate MSWIN.EXE and DLWIN.EXE, right click on the file name, then follow the procedure as for the other methods.
