One good place to start is Connie Brown's chapter on Gann in 'Technical
Analysis for the Trading Professional'. Unfortunately she doesn't help her
cause by disclosing certain key facts about how she uses Gann, but this is a
highly respected analyst and money manager who sees Gann as one of her most
critical tools.
Your approach is correct - if it looks like it makes money, then its worth
spending some time on.
